I'm from a small town back in Illinois. After working several jobs, I decided to take my career in a new direction, teaching. So, rather than waste another three years of my life and tons of money on a teaching degree, I came to China to give it a "test drive." After teaching for a mere 20 minutes, I knew it wasn't the career for me, but I finished my contract.

At the end of my year long contract, I signed with a huge computer company in their phone support devision. I have been working there for over a year now, doing everything from providing technical support, mentoring, training, revision of training materials, some other things, and administering an in-house support website (which, by the way, uses an earlier version of the tool I'm using to make this website - Drupal version 5.7).

While working on the website and ogling my good friend Rick's website, a desire to have one of my own rose to the surface. That's what this website is striving to be.

Some of the things you will find out about me by going through this site is my hatred for anything Microsoft. So, my site will be almost entirely made from my home desktop, which is loaded with Ubuntu Linux, or my MacBook Pro. Also, all photos and videos will be created/modified with Linux/Mac software and captured with either my iPhone, Samsung Digital Camera, or JVC camcorder.

I'm not a big Social Website junkie, but you can connect with me on any of the sites listed in the far right column of the site. I also gave this website thing a shot on a couple of the free blogging sites, Blogger and Windows Live Spaces (which is one of the biggest reasons I greatly dislike Microsoft ... ok, I hate).
