When I was growing up, I loved baseball. I loved to watch it, play it, and talk about it. However, in the past few years, the "speculation" of players using performance enhancers has made me lose interest. Yes, I am a traditionalist. Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron did not, to my knowledge, use performance enhancers to hit all of those home runs. Walter Johnson and Cy Young didn't amass 417 wins and 511 wins (respectively) during their 20+ year careers using performance enhancers (again, to my knowledge). When players unnaturally bulk up and start spraying home runs all over the outfield or throwing 100+ MPH fastballs, it takes something from the game. I just like to watch natural talent ... which is probably why I prefer to watch golf these days.
Anyway, the point of this rant, when I came across this video at The Onion making fun of the situation in today's baseball, it kind of puts into perspective the kind of blatant "attitude" that baseball's current management has towards performance enhancers.
