Favorite Stops
PandaPassport: another one by Rick Martin. Lots of cool content, videos and other insightful shit.
DalianDalian: Maintained by Alex Bowman. This site will tell you almost everything you need or want to know about Dalian, China.
chinaSMACK: "Hot internet stories, pictures, & videos in China. What’s popular, scandalous, or shocking that have the Chinese talking."
Twitter: If you look to the right, you will see my last 3 or 4 Twitter posts. Twitter is a social networking tool that allows you to send short messages to people you know or groups your interested in as well as get loads of info that would take you days to scour the net for on your own. You can follow me on Twitter here.
CNet Asia's Little Red Blog: Written by Rick Martin who keeps us up-to-date on China's tech front (among other things). This has been discontinued as Rick moved to Japan. However, you can follow his CNet career at Tokyo Shift. Other places to find Rick are 1Rick, 2JPN, and PandaPassport (see first link). He also contributes pretty regularly to DalianDalian (see second link).
CNet Asia's The Tech Dynasty: Written by Ryan McLaughlin, a long time writer, blogger, and web developer, he seeks to take over where Rick left off with the Little Red Blog. You can also check out some of his other stuff, like the Hao Hao Report, Lost Laowai, or TipTrickMod.
Isohunt: Download all kinds of neat stuff. All downloads will be torrents (much faster than standard FTP or HTML file transfers, but they do require more software to download. If you're using Windows, try utorrent. If you're using Linux, Ubuntu comes with Transmission, which is a good, lightweight tool to use. If you prefer a little more control over your downloads, you can also try Azureus, or Bit Torrent.
Some Grey Bloke: this Brit is has one of the funniest online cartoons I've seen (can also be found at Youtube - you know how to search).
Jon Stewart's The Daily Show: The best kind of news is the kind you can laugh at.
Skinchmo Frisbee's Rules and Regs: A nifty little frisbee game that's been around for as long as I can remember.
Ubuntu: I hate Windows. When you hate Windows, that pretty much leaves you with the option of Linux. Ubuntu is by far my favorite right now. I currently run Ubuntu 8.10 on my desktop and Ubuntu 8.10 UMPC on my EeePC. If you're not familiar with Linux, check out Googles nifty little Linux only search engine to find answers and tips to help you out.
