My Company's H1N1 Risk Management Plan

About a month ago, my boss asked me about going back to the US and wondered if I was worried about the H1N1 flu that's going around. I'm neither worried nor care about it. Though the death of anyone should not be taken for granted, 79 deaths in one month is much less than the 98 deaths caused by the regular, seasonal flu in an average day (CDC figures). Anyway, back to my company's H1N1 risk management, when I come back from the US, I will have to work from home for another week. This is his email.

To manage possible emergency may be caused by H1N1 flu, the business group formed a BCP committee lead by business group's manager.
To reduce the risk of infection, a decision has been made by the committee, that we need to arrange the employees back from infected areas to work at home for a week. No any kind of leaves needs to be filed in the system. I’ll discuss the work@home tasks with you later.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Not that I really care, another week away from work is fine and dandy with me, but I feel this is a little extreme ... after all, according to Gao Hongbin, China’s vice minister of agriculture, “Foreigners have illness, Chinese people don’t have illness, Chinese pigs even more don’t have illness.”

What do you think?
