Went for another walk this morning. I decided I wasn't going to fuck around with those little walks like yesterday, so I went big ... big to the tune of 26+ kilometers (haha Google, you said 5 hours and 34 minutes, I did it in 5 hours and 5 minutes). I'll have to say, the nicest part was from Xinghai Square (星海广场) to Longquan Square (隆泉广场), not a lot of traffic, so the air was pretty fresh and clean. The worst part, as usual, was Wuyi Road, which just happened to take up the last 5 1/2 kilometers (or so) of my walk.
Along the way, I managed to check in at quite a few places using Foursquare. You can see those here:
- Jinshatan Beach
- Dalian Forest Zoo
- Yinsha Beach
- Party School Of Dalian Municipal Committee Of CPC
- Fujiazhuang Park
- Longquan Square
- Xingfu e Jia
By the way, for those of you who've been to Dalian, the Xinghai Square Castle is no more ... it's been torn down to make way for a new and improved Castle Hotel.
Here's a map of my walk ... at point 'Q', both of my calves and my achilles tendons tightened up so bad, I had to stop and give myself a leg massage and stretch for a bit ... guess I'm getting old.
