Morning Walk - April 20, 2010

I came home from work, had 2 pieces of left-over pizza, a glass of water, took the lining out of my coat, then set off for a long walk ... a planned (remember that) walk of almost 32 kilometers. All was going well, I got lots of pictures (see below) and nearly the entire walk was traffic free, meaning I could actually breath. One of my friends had mentioned walking 滨海路 (bīnhǎi lù), in it's entirety, before another friend left the city, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Going was great, I walked the full 31 or so kilometers and felt great, then I came across this sign:

which basically says "Under construction, non-work crew and vehicles are not allowed to enter. Dalian East Moving Direct Center."

The East entrance of 海之韵广场 (hǎi zhī yùn guǎngchǎng) now looked like this:

I was soooo pissed!

I had to turn around and walk back and find a bus or taxi that would take me the rest of the way home. Long story short, after 7 hours and around 41 kilometers of walking, I hopped in a taxi and came home. I think my face got sunburnt, too :Sp (update: definitely sunburnt ... ouch)

Here's some more pictures.

Can see more pics over on my Flickr page.

And, here's the map.
