Morning Walk - May 21, 2010

I lost a bet, so now I owe a coworker breakfast. I did not think chao was a word, I thought the person who used it in an IM ment to put ciao ... boy, was I wrong. It turns out that chao is the Spanish equivalent of the Italian ciao, both mean goodbye (I was basing my theory on common spell-checking software which recognizes ciao, doesn't recognize chao, and even suggests ciao when trying to type chao). Anyway, I digress, I lost the bet, on with the walk.

This morning, I had to go get the fixen's for one of my kick ass 2-egg omelettes; I needed a little cheese (cheddar or pepper jack -- according to her taste), some milk (just a little or the egg falls apart), and some olives, I already had the tomatoes, peppers and other veggies I planned on putting in it. I went to work with the intention of catching a ride with another coworker to Metro (she lives next to it), however, I found out about halfway thru the shift that she had an hour of training after work, so, you guessed it, I walked. It's actually quite a short walk, only 1.5 hours (almost to the T), and fairly straight ... in fact, I probably spent more time INSIDE Metro shopping than I did walking ... just goes to show how small Dalian city actually is (look at the map).

Today's walk was brought to me by Episode 227 of the Sick & Wrong podcast, which goes a long way to deserve their title and their explicit tag in iTunes (consider that my warning). Here's the map.
