Packing Day

The one thing I hate about renting is being told that I will have to move at the end of the lease. I had high hopes for this place. After 6 months, the landlord had said they hoped I would rent for another year, and I was really looking forward to that, just a little over a month later, they said they wanted to sell it. So, today, since I got home from work around 7:30 in the AM, I have been packing. Bag after bag, unhooking, moving, piling, etc etc etc ... and I gotta say, I hate moving. Ok, I don't so much hate the moving part as much as I hate the fucking boxes and bags that I have to throw all of my shit in. Tomorrow morning, bright and early, I get to worry about something completely different, the moving guys breaking something I don't want broken. It could be worse though, it could be like the move I made between my 1st and 2nd places in this city where I walked the 1km between the 2 apartments 15 times loaded with no less than 3 full backpacks each time.

In other news, as you can see by the "recent blog posts" section to the left, I haven't been meeting my 5km/day quota for the whole walking thing and I haven't had a good walk since the 28th of October. In fact, other than walking to work and back, I've been taking a taxi or a bus nearly everywhere.

Well, I think I'm going to try to get some sleep so I can get up around midnight and hopefully finish up all the packing that's left (kitchen, bathroom and 1 bedroom). I hope this is all done early so I can get some sleep tomorrow and make it to quiz night at Brooklyn tomorrow night.
