How to Record Your Desktop in Ubuntu

This is a screen cast I made a while back showing an easy way to install a video screen capture program for Ubuntu. I made this using a virtual installation of Ubuntu 8.04, but this will work for 8.10 and 9.04 as well.

If this is too small for you, you can go here for a larger, clearer video (no video controls though).

Thanks for sharing the video. It might be a dumb question but let me ask. How can we record our desktop in Windows XP. I have a duel boot with XP and I need to do the same in windows for making some posts.

Try a program called Camtasia. You can download a trial version at download.com.
