Official Rules of Play

Scoring

• One point for hitting the pole.
• Two points for knocking the bottle off the pole.
• If the bottle is hit, but remains on the pole, then the player is awarded one point.
• If the Frisbee hits the opposing player and then hits the pole or bottle, appropriate points are awarded to the player who threw the Frisbee.
• Games are played to ten.
• A player must win by at least two points to win the game.
• If one player hits the bottle/pole to make his/her score ten/eleven points and the other player is three or less points behind, then the second player has one chance to throw the Frisbee and tie the score or bring him/her to within a one point margin.

Throwing Areas

• Player must throw the Frisbee from behind their pole.
• If the player throwing the Frisbee steps in front of the pole while throwing, any hits are not counted.

Tournament Rules

• Tournaments are double elimination; players must lose twice to be eliminated.
• If a player in the final game has not lost during the tournament, their opponent must beat him or her twice to win.
• If both players in the final game are undefeated, then the championship will be determined on a best of three games match.
• Game must be played during or after consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Serious competitors will be expected to have a beer in hand while playing (for counter-balance).
