Quick question about this whole Susan Boyle craze.
Have homo sapiens become so superficial and ignorant that we marvel when a less than attractive woman has a nice singing voice? What does a person’s outward appearance have to do with a person’s vocal chords, diaphragm, lung capacity, and hearing ability? I would be more impressed if a deaf person, with no education were able to do what she did … that would be overcoming something.
I am by no means putting down what she has done, I definitely could not have done it (neither the balls to get on stage nor the voice to sing anything outside of frog imitations), it's just not amazing to me.
