Not sure if this news about Android based phones outselling Apple's iPhone for the first time ever has anything to do with it, but soon, I believe you're going to have a whole lot of Apple Fanboys turning green with envy when they see Android based phones running Flash content as good as almost any computer.
Google has released a new beta of their Chrome browser, and, among other things, it's pretty darn quick. I've been using Chrome on my work PC for about a year now, and at home on both my Linux desktop and MacBook since they've been available, and I do like it. I'm sure a lot of this speed test I'm about to show you has to do with the connection speed of the computer (and possibly sites that have been viewed before), but it's still renders the page super fast.
Google's logo, and the many variations that mark special occasions, are one aspect of the simple website, and the company, that I enjoy. As a person who spent a good portion of his youth drawing cartoons (I can still draw a pretty mean TMNT, I've often wondered how the "doodles" were done, whether it was on paper, then digitized, or all done digitally. If you're interested, check out this 5 minute (or so) CBS News report done on the Google Doodlers.
Recently, I've been considering a new phone. I know my current iPhone 3GS is only 7 months old, but Apple's beginning to become hindrance to the phone's "usability", and an internet capable phone that doesn't do everything you want it to do is just, well, a phone. I've started questioning, "Why spend so much money on something that's 'just a phone'?"
