We've been thinking about training Opie to go for walks. We're hoping that this will allow him to burn off all the nervous energy he's got that drives him to pee on things when he's mad at us and whine like a new born while we try to sleep for more than 4 hours. I wanted to buy him a harness, but wifey thought she could make one. He didn't really fight it as much as I thought he would, especially considering how unharness-like wifey's harness is. Well, she got it partially right, it doesn't go around his neck, but other than that, it's just a "collar" for his stomach.
When we picked up the Cat formerly known as Amber, the previous owner told us "her" name was Brianna and "she" was a naughty "girl," so we assumed it was a girl. We didn't like the name Brianna, so we changed it to Amber. A day or so ago, I was rough-housing with "her" when "she" rolled over on "her" back to attack my hand and forearm with "her" teeth and all four legs when I noticed something a girl shouldn't have ... "Amber, why do you have testicles?"
Yesterday, we got a pet. Her name is Amber. The person we got her from was moving back to the Philippines soon and didn't want to see her become a stray, so we adopted his 5 month old Tabby. She is adorable, but kind of skiddish. I'm working my magic on her, though.
I really a pet in the house. My entire life, I can't remember a single day that we didn't have a pet. I'm not really a cat person, but, in my current situation, it would be impossible to have a dog, they require much more time than I, or Celina, have to devote ... and I really love all animals.
