If I were home, I would be in at least 2 NCAA bracket pools, one with a group of friends I've had for all but 3 or 4 years of my life, and one with who ever I worked with. Since I'm in China and haven't watched, or listened to, a game all year, I just did one online on the New York Times. Tonight, I woke up and decided to see how I fared after the first days games ... and it wasn't well. Of the first 16 games, I've only got nine right. Of the seven wrong choices I've made, two were picked to go to the Sweet 16, and one I chose to make it to the Elite 8 was knocked out as well. Oh well, nothing's riding on this year's bracket, except my pride
and I always have enjoyed watching the underdog win ... after all, I am a life long Cubs fan.
Ouch! If I've guessed every remaining game in Round One correct, my bracket will only have earned 43% of the total points available. That's not good, and I'm glad I'm not a bettin' man.
