I'll start with a little back story on 开心网 (kāixīn wǎng), or "Happy Net" which is a kind of Chinese Facebook. It's got all the friend things and a lot of similar, stupid little games that Facebook has, however, since the CCP has so graciously decided to protect everyone from all their online friends, family, and other acquaintances by blocking Facebook, I have to use a Chinese knockoff. Like Facebook, Kaixin has a farming game and in this farming game, you can raise animals. Thus far, the Panda is the animal that makes a "farmer" (1) the most money when raising, as long as you go back regularly to feed, water, and harvest the baby pandas. The part that kind of strikes me as odd is at the end of the panda's period of usefulness, you harvest the adults for meat??? Um, I thought the panda's were like national treasures or something? Oh well, enough back story.
So, the last couple of times I've checked in on my panda ...
... hold on, another g'damn annoying advertisement, scam, whatever, text message, let's see. Oh, thank you, China Mobile. No, I don't wish to change my ringtone like I've opted not to do for the last 4 years I've lived here. Now, fuck off ...
... sorry for the interruption. Where was I? Oh, yah. So the last few times I've checked in on my farm, I've noticed this round zebra looking thing walking around, but I have no clue what it's for. There's a button to press that does something, and he's never there the next time I come back if I click the button. Anyway, anyone else ever seen this annoying shit walking around your farm?

(1) farmer in quotations because farmers are so looked down upon here, but the white collars that play this game are really, really, I mean REALLY serious about this stuff
